ILM Level 2 Certificate in Team Leading

This nationally recognised adult award from the Institute of Leadership and Management (ILM) is available to senior cadets who complete one of the following courses:

ACF Master Cadet Course
ATC Junior Leaders’ Course
SCC Leaders’ Course (available Sept 2007)

The award mixes theory and practical elements with an emphasis on leadership, teamwork and communications and is the first step in the managerial process. It is a valuable award recognised in industry by employers.

There are three components to the award which all need to be completed:

Pass the relevant cadet course.
Complete a 1500 word project based around planning a local community event which demonstrates team leading skills learned on the course.
Pass a series of short answer questions.

A real benefit of this award is that enrolled cadets gain free studying membership of the Institute of Leadership and Management (ILM).
