Being 432 miles away from Waterbeach this is one of the furthest camps we will ever go to in the UK - So don't forget your toothbrush
The Camp The camp is 6 miles East of Dundee and the world famous Carnoustie Golf Club is right next door. Barry Buddon Camp covers 2,300 acres, of which 600 acres is foreshore with at least an equal amount of useful sea area. The camp itself is quite new, and has accommodation for 507 people. About 30,000 personnel use the camp each year from all three services, cadet forces and some civilian organisations. There are 20 different ranges, although not all can be used at the same time. It is used as an infantry training area, with small arms, light and medium mortars and some anti-tank weapons being fired there. Most of the training area is what is called a Site of Special Scientific Interest (SSSI) and an EU Special Area of Conservation (SAC), as well as a Special Protection Area (SPA) for birds - so you'll need to remember the Country Code and look after the wildlife and environment!
The cost of Annual Camp this year is just £75 for the 11 days. This price includes accommodation, meals and all activities. Talk to your Detachment Commander, they will tell you how much deposit you need to pay to secure your place! Act now and book YOUR place on this years fun filled Annual Camp.
