![]() The overall aim of training in the Army Cadet Force is to produce self reliant, fit young people, introduced to leadership skills, who have a basic knowledge of military subjects and who understand their duties and obligations as a citizen in our society. That is where Citizenship Training comes in. It can best be described as "helping to produce a better person" The focus is on creating a strong sense of community spirit and helping young people to understand social values, helping them identify right from wrong in all ranges of behaviours from an early stage in their training. By taking part in community projects and helping charitable organisations, the Cadets get to see a "different" side of life. The rewards for the Cadets in helping others are great, and those helped realise that there are still young people who really care enough to make a difference.
