With the camp having a .22 Rifle Range all the Junior Cadre activities are likely to be on camp as the training area for Fieldcraft work is within walking distance of the camp. The only exception will be the more advanced cadets who will be heading to Wales for the Adventure Training Package. For the recruits there will be a 2 day Exercise Package and many in camp activities. For the advanced group there will be the 2 day Exercise Package, 2 day Adventurous Training and then the various in camp activities mixed in. As is always the case with the first set of camp information being published the details are subject to change. Below outlines what we are hoping to include.

Shooting
As already stated the camp has a .22 Range which we will be using. Any one who is not trained on the No. 8 rifle by the time they get to camp will be trained on camp so that everyone will get the chance to shoot.

Signals
There will be signals training taking place at camp by our County Signals Officer UO Hall. There will be theory work which will be balanced by hands on training with the different signals equipment we use in the ACF.

Adventure Training
For the Advanced cadets who will be on the Adventure Training Package please se the dedicated AT page.
Motorcycle Experience
The aim of the Motorcycle Experience is to introduce young people to the skills of riding a motorcycle in a thrilling but safe and controlled way. You will also be taught how to look after and maintain a Motorbike.
Obstacle Course
There is an obstacle course on camp and as we have fully qualified staff we will be making use of the facility.

For the Junior Cadre Exercise Package this year we will be in the unique training area at Nesscliff Camp. Within walking distance it is a diverse area with open space, wooded areas and buildings. The buildings can be utilised in the event of wet weather or as part of the training.
Please see the maps page for a better idea of activity locations.
