Best Wishes To Members of Cambs ACF Corps of Drums

Corps of Drums

Cambridgeshire Army Cadet Force would like to wish cadets from the Corps of Drums best wishes for tomorrow. Selected cadets will be on parade in London as they makeup part of a massive parade marching down the Mall for an inspection by His Royal Highness The Prince of Wales. The royal review in Central London and Buckingham Palace garden party are the centrepiece of the cadet movement’s 150th anniversary year and echo the centenary celebrations in July 1960 when Her Majesty The Queen and His Royal Highness The Duke of Edinburgh reviewed the cadet forces in the gardens of Buckingham Palace. Backing The Cambs ACF First Aid Team

First AidThere are those events and Competitions that come around every year in the Army Cadet Force calendar. This weekend is the start of the First Aid Competition trail, with the Regional First Aid Competition taking place at the Cadet Training Centre at Waterbeach.  Our First Aid team will be battling it out with teams from across our region with the Air Training Corps among them. A field Cambs ACF has excelled in over the last few years but with seniors leaving and new cadets coming in will this change the team dynamics? As always in the Regional Competition Cambs ACF will be the team to beat, others will have a tough challenge.

Cambs ACF would like to wish its First Aid team all the best and hope to see them victorious in the Regional First Aid Competition 2010.

There will be various stands on the green including a swing band from the CCF and we hope Star Radio will be there too. Cambs ACF will be selling Baxterbears, a percentage of the money from each bear going towards the ABF The Soldiers’ Charity. After the main parade has been dismissed on the green Big Baxterbear himself will make an appearance, available for bear hugs and photos!  Everyone is welcome so please spread the word so we can make this a truly special day. The parade starts at 3pm, we look forward to seeing you!
