“Share The Challenge”
 

Each Detachment has been given the challenge to raise a minimum of £300 by 1st November 2010. The monies raised will be shared on the basis of 50% to the Centenary Trust Fund and 50% to the  Army Benevolent Fund.

Corps of Drums Music CD

The Corps of Drums will be recording a CD with its planned release early in 2010 to start off the 150 Year Celebrations.

 
Exercise of “Freedom of the Town” Parades

Each Company will be organising ” Exercise Freedom” town parades. Cambridgeshire ACF holds the freedom of March St Ives and Wisbech. The Wisbech parade will take place on the 9th December to coincide with Octavia Hill Day, Octavia Hill being our founder.

 

County Parade

6th June

At Ely Cathedral 150 Cambridgeshire Army Cadets will be on Parade, joined by the Cambridgeshire Regt Association Members for their annual service. Supporting the event will be the Sea Cadets, CCF and ATC Units from across Cambridgeshire. Static Displays  will be on Palace Green, Ely and the Battle of Britain Memorial Flight flypast has been requested (to be confirmed). There will be tea for the VIP guests in the Hayward Theatre, Ely.

 

(Note:  Practice for all taking part will be on 5th June 2010 at  CTC  Waterbeach)

13:00 Static stands are manned

 

13:40 Parade Personnel seated in the Cathedral

 

14:00 Service in Ely Cathedral

 

15:00 The parade with the Lord Lieutenant of Cambridgeshire AH Duberly CBE and Major General Sutherell (Retd) CB, CBE taking the salute. The order of March is the Cambridgeshire Army Cadet Force (ACF) Corps of Drums,  Old Comrades Association, (ACF) Standard Party, ACF, Sea Cadets Corps (SCC) Standard Party, SCC, Combined Cadet Force (CCF) Standard Party, CCF, Air Training Corps (ATC) Standard Party, ATC.

 

15:30 Battle of Britain Memorial Fly Past with the Lancaster and Spitfire

VIP’s move to the Heyward theatre for refreshment and Beating The Retreat by Cambs ACF Corps of Drums.

 
Past and Present “At Home”

Our open day this year has a "Past and Present" theme. There will be many things to participate in as well as static stands. More details of the event and what will be on offer will be added as they become confirmed.

 
Royal British Legion “Poppy” Appeal
 

Each Detachment in the County will be supporting their local  Royal British Legion Branch with the Poppy Appeal. This will involve selling and supporting RBL Members during Poppy Week.
