In addition to all the other exciting activities that the ACF has to offer you can also gain nationally recognised qualifications through the Cadet Vocational Qualification Office (CVQO). These include two BTEC Diploma qualifications which are free of charge and which closely follow and compliment your normal cadet training.
The qualifications we offer have been carefully selected to show employers and educators the wide range of skills that young people learn in the cadet forces. These skills include leadership, teambuilding, problem-solving, communication, personal health and physical fitness.

This is an internationally respected qualification equivalent to 4 GCSEs at A*-C level. The course mixes theory and practical elements with an emphasis on leadership, teamwork, communications, problem solving and fitness.
The syllabus has been designed to improve valuable
life skills including preparation of a CV, interviewing techniques,
communication, first aid, adventure training, health and nutrition.
Cadets need to be 16 or over and 2 Star complete to enrol. In addition to their normal training, cadets are required to complete the course syllabus which includes supervised adventure training activities and occasional weekend training during the year.

Cadets aged 16 and over will be able to enrol on this vocational qualification which is also equivalent to 4 GCSEs at A*-C level.
The curriculum has been designed to develop a basic understanding of the music industry and combines technical skills with theory and practical elements.
Upon successful completion, cadets will have demonstrated an understanding of all aspects of the music business including music selection, composition, performance, marketing, legal issues and budget forecasting. Cadets are expected to be able to play a musical instrument prior to enrolling on the course.
