Public relations, through the use of media such as newspapers, magazines, internet, radio and television, is important to our organisation as it maintains our good reputation and promotes our positive message to society at large. Active PR ensures that we attract and retain quality people in terms of officers, adult instructors and cadets and lets the world know what we are about. This is essential, and for this reason the importance of PR is well recognised within Cambridgeshire ACF.
Our
Public relations and the ACF internet presence in Cambridgeshire is managed by Staff Sergeant Helen Matthews. She is supported by Captain Tony Ansell who is now the Regional Communications Officer at East Anglia RFCA.

community. There are short courses available in PR that can be attended

Cambridgeshire is an extremely active county, with events and activities taking place almost every weekend and also during the week. With so much going on it is clear that not every event can be reported on or photographed. With this in mind we encourage cadets and instructors to submit suitable stories, photos and videos to us so we can optimise our coverage. Guidelines for submissions can be found on the relevant web pages or feel free to contact one of the team for advice. In a nutshell the details required about each event will generally include - who, when, what, where, how and why, as well as a couple of GOOD quality photographs.
We are constantly looking to improve PR within the county and over the last few years the profile of Cambridgeshire has been raised to national level. With technology and the internet developing at a rapid pace Cambs ACF is always keen to embrace existing and new mediums to keep people up to date with the latest news and information.
