The second ever 'Rolling Thunder'
Signals Competition took place at the Royal School of
Signals, Blandford Camp, Dorset, over the weekend of 21 & 22
February 2009 and Cambridgeshire ACF was well represented.
Cpl Nick Fennelly (16) from St
Neots, captained our team which included St Ives team mates
Cpl Jay Van-Kerro (16), Cpl Ben Pascoe (15) and L/Cpl Josh
Marsh (14). The lads took part in several tests of practical
skills and theoretical knowledge and earned a creditable 8th
place amongst 19 teams of cadets from around the UK. Adult
Instructors CI Tony Hall and SMI Nigel Parry were there to
support the event and they all took part in our second ever
podcast which you can access on our website homepage. We
have our annual Crossed Flags signals cadre coming up
between 12 & 17 April so why not get involved with signals
yourself and represent the county at future national events
- just speak to your detachment commander!
