marks to our Corps of Drums and Ely Detachment for securing
generous grants at the High Sheriff's Awards held at St Ivo
School, St Ives on Thursday 12th March 2009. The High
Sheriff of Cambridgeshire Mrs Judy Pearson presented cheques
to 20 youth groups from around the county and this year
Cambridgeshire ACF shared the limelight with Huntingdon &
District Sea Cadet Corps - which made for an interesting
photo opportunity ! The £500 awarded to the Corps of Drums,
and the £200 for Ely detachment will be used towards
renewing equipment and other cadet activities throughout the
year. Take a look at our representatives when they appeared
before the audience of 240 people...
