AT Capel Curig
Thanks to some fantastic weather and organisation 29 cadets along with 11 adults recently attended the AT Easter camp in North Wales.  Cadets where given the opportunity to kayak, climb and micro navigate around the mountain ranges.12 cadets passed their Kayak 1 star BCU on Lake Padarn in Llanberis supported by SI Jones, with the older cadets working towards their SMP (Summer Mountain Proficiency);  Eight summits where bagged including Snowdon (1085); evenings gave cadets the opportunity to experience bouldering and rope work at the climbing wall in Anglesey. The last night finished with a wild camp on the side of the mountain called Cnicht (The Welsh Matterhorn), everyone stayed dry despite the nights rain, arriving back at base camp happy and upbeat the next morning.
