Brigadier Visits Corps of Drums
Monday 20th April turned out to be a big day in the Corps of Drums calendar when the Commander of 49 (East) Brigade visited Corps of Drums cadets from all three companies whilst they met at Bottisham. The 18 cadets from all over the county had gathered to show off their musical skills to Brigadier Jim Richardson, MBE. He made a scheduled visit to Waterbeach Training Centre and then drove out with Colonel Herriot to see the cadets in action. Five lucky cadets recieved their drummers badge - awarded for playing at a public event and Cadet Sam Harding (13) from Fletton was awarded the badge for 'Commandants Bugler' having recently passed 2 star bugle at Altcar.
