The last of the companies
to have their Christmas camp was 3 Company held over the weekend
of the 11th December.
Weapon training was high on the agenda at this
camp. Junior cadets learned weapon safety then moved on to the
air rifle and No.8 22. Rifle, following successful completion of
their handling test they were shooting on the range. The senior
cadets were fully trained on the new weapon, the SA08 A2 self
loading rifle, with testing taking place before being able to
use them. On the Sunday the senior cadets took part in a mini
march and soot competition with Haddenham Detachment emerging as
the Victors.
With the Cadets Christmas dinner on the Saturday evening the
instructors transformed themselves in to a host of
characters to serve the cadets their meal. For entertainment
after the dinner cadets from each of the detachments put on
small comedy sketches for cadets and Instructors to enjoy.
