Over the weekend end of 19th
– 20th June, Cambridge ACF won the Eastern
Region First Aid Competition for the 9th
consecutive year. In
attendance, Essex ACF, 1365 SQN ATC & 52 Orton SQN.
Soldiers from the regiment’s 1st Battalion – the ‘Vikings’
– took part in the welcome home parade through Cambridge
city centre before a civic reception at the Guildhall. A
selection of cadets where chosen to take part in the Guard
of Honour collecting on behalf of the ABF.
Earlier this year
Baxterbear joined the ranks of Cambridgeshire Army Cadet
Force. The aims of the partnership are to help the Cadets
raise money for charity, while raising the profile of
Baxterbear in England.
Colonel Roger Herriot (58), Commandant of Cambridgeshire
Army Cadet Force, took part in the MacMillan Walk on the 2nd
May. Despite the awful weather and a clash with the
Bank holiday weekend he joined over 350 other walkers to
complete the trek from Cambridge to Ely, a distance of 19
miles.

Commercial Radio Station of the year for 2009/10, has
teamed up with Cambridgeshire Army Cadet Force to help
celebrate a historic year.
Corporal Sam Davies (17) from Aldreth was appointed Cadet
Drum Major at the Corps of Drums Training day, held at the
Peterborough TA Centre on the 16th January.
Captain Lynn Herriot (54) commanding officer of the Corps
of Drums presented Sam with his new uniform brassard.
